SPF’s Update on Scam Situation March 2021

Scams remain to be a concern in Singapore and the methods used by scammers are constantly evolving. In the first half of 2020, the total amount cheated for the common types of scams doubled to S$82 million, from S$41.6million in the same period in 2019. In response, SPF prepared a scam situation update to be disseminated to the public periodically to enhance general awareness against scams.
