Metropolis Security wins Golden Circle Best Employer Award 2025 

Metropolis Security is delighted that we won the “Golden Circle Best Employer Award” at the Security Officers Day (“SO Day”) Awards, held on July 24. We were among the few security agencies in Singapore to be conferred this award that recognises employers that have the best employment practices in the industry.

It is also a matter of great pride that two of our security staff- Mr. Vincent Ong Eng Hin (Security Supervisor) and Mr. Ho Sing Cheong (SO)- were recognized with the Security Officer of the Year Awards for their exemplary courage, commitment, professionalism and timely action in the line of duty that prevented loss of life or any significant damage to property. 

While Mr.Ong received the award for his response to a fire in the basement carpark of a condominium last year, Mr. Cheong prevented a major safety incident by extinguishing an E-bike fire in a shopping mall.  Both of these acts are shining examples of how security officers’ vigilance and preparedness can directly impact emergency outcomes.

The annual SO Day Awards ceremony, co-organised by SAS and Temasek Polytechnic-Security Industry Institute, was graced by Guest of Honour, Mr Shawn Huang, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Manpower, among other dignitaries as well as key stakeholders, management and staff of security agencies in Singapore.
