Introduction to Progressive Wage Model Assessment-Only-Pathway for the Security Industry
The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) for the Security industry will be implemented by 1 Sep 2016, and will create a roadmap for raising basic wages, skills and productivity, and set out an approach for reducing the industry’s reliance on excessive overtime hours to meet manpower needs. A total of 25,000 Security personnel are expected to possess the required Security PWM WSQ modules by then. In line with the PWM launch, the Security AOP is made available to experienced Security Officers (SOs) and provides an alternative to the Training and Assessment route for experienced SOs who already possess the relevant skills, experience and knowledge and achieve an SOA without having to undergo classroom training.
